Moving On

Moving On

Time for an update on where life has been lately after we got back from our family vacation. August was B-U-S-Y…..actually we have been busy since March-ish. We have been in the process of building a home but first step was selling our current home which we finally closed on August 9th.

We already had moved back in March just because we had some work to do and trying to live and keep it clean with a family of 5 just really didn’t seem feasible. Luckily we had a home in our family that was vacant that we were able to move in and get somewhat settled. I only say somewhat because I just finally unpacked the last boxes this past week….after 5 months of being here.

I mean we were splitting our time between both houses up until we put it up for sale. Upkeep on two properties is just not that fun. We put up our house on a Friday and it sold that same weekend. It was so crazy but I am glad we did it and our realtor was seriously great. I can’t imagine if we had gone down the route of trying to do it ourselves. I am sure we could have managed but I am damn glad we didn’t have to. All that go between was just bananas.

Not going to lie it was sentimental to leave. This was the first property my husband and I bought together and it is where we brought all three of our babies to call home. We (mostly my hubs) put a lot of work into the house redo-ing the kitchen, bathrooms, and windows. We made it our home and it was a great first home but we need to move on to something a little bigger for our family.

So we get asked a lot about our build. I don’t have much to share there. We were trying to get started this past spring but it just wasn’t working out. We decided to wait until our house was sold so there wasn’t added stress of having to manage the build, the sell, and the temporary property we are in. So we decided to push it off, make sure our design is buttoned down, and hoping to kick it off spring of 2020. We do however have a pretty driveway all ready to go when the time comes because that is important.

I can’t wait for spring and giving more updates on our new build!
