Free Crochet Pattern // Flat Lay Koozie

The Flat Lay Koozie, a crochet version of the standard koozie of the planet. It lays flat, fits in your back pocket, and keeps your hands from freezing while holding your favorite beverage.

The Design Process

Inspiration

So I have made a koozie or two in my day and they all started with a circular bottom. Well, I don’t know about you but most of the time when I am done with my drink I stick my koozie in my back pocket. And while these other designs fit in my pocket they were bulky. I set out to make one that mimicked my favorite “standard” koozie.

The Yarn

I chose to use a trusty but very hard to find Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn. While there are colors of it out there the standard black, cream, gray are hard to come by. I have a bit in my stash which is nice but hate that I can’t directly link you to some of the same colors. Here is a list of sub yarns that might be worth checking out.
