Happy Monday! I have a mile long to do list today and getting this post up is on my list. Today I am going to talk to you about siding…..riveting, maybe not, but it sure did make this house transform once the Tyvek was covered up. We chose to go with a board and batten siding, now I will 100% give all the credit to Mr. Fresh Knack on the details of this coming together. Very into details that one and I am so grateful because it looks stunning.
If you aren’t familiar with what board and batten siding is, it is siding that alternates wide boards with narrow boards (battens). It is common on older barns that you may see and the siding can be ran horizontal or vertical. Give it a google and you will see what I mean. Without doing a full on interview with the hubs about the exterior trim work I can’t give you any details on that because it is too much for me to spell out. All I know is that it looks good!
The material we used is called LP Smartside. The color you see in the photos is the primed side so once it is installed you can just paint over top of it. So here are some of the photos from our siding work so you get the idea!
