The Crochet Gift Bag, another free pattern for you today on the blog. This pattern is simple and easy to construct. The crochet gift bag is made from one piece and a couple seams and with some cute details this bag will be the perfect gift for those teachers or coworkers. It is always nice to “dress up” those gift cards for those hard to buy for people in your life.
Design Process
Inspiration
Each year we try to get our teachers a little gift to say thank you for their work with the kids. Now I will say most of the time our teachers get a gift card along with some candy and sanitizers. I have a few teacher friends and the last thing they want is another mug with their name or initials on it.
I usually opt for gift cards that they can use it for themselves or for their classrooms. What I do try to do is make it more that just a gift card with a thoughtful way to deliver it. For example, last year was a stocking and this year is a little bag. I like to make things that could be used as decor or used later on for whatever they like.
The Yarn
Instead of reaching for my bank card I reached back into my stash again for this project and sure enough I had something. The all mighty and versatile Lion Brand Thick and Quick! This yarn choice makes this project work up VERY quick, and anyone who procrastinates like me will have plenty of time to get these done before Christmas break.
