I am challenging myself in the month of May to clean up my eating, for a number of reasons. One of which is my sweet tooth craving I feel is at an all time high. Probably has nothing to do with the holidays (Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter) where you never have any temptation of sugar. Anyhow, I am going to attempt to complete a Whole30, you can get the details from their website whole30.com. To give you a high level overview no sugar, no dairy, no bread, no anything that everyone typically likes. But, I will say that I have been taste testing their recipes throughout the last couple months and have been pleasantly satisfied.
The concept is that you have to cook and eat real food for 30 days to give your body a chance to heal itself and reset. The book explains the many phases you will go through with the journey and I plan to share my thoughts on the process with you. I’ll warn you now that there is likely to be some cursing as I go through my sugar detox in the first week, you’ve been warned.
