Well it took me about 3 attempts to even get this darn thing started but I finally got the hang of it. I will admit that a few uh oh’s happened during my attempt at knitting this hat.
1) Somehow I dropped a stitch in the back of the hat so there is a small space in the stitch that I am not sure how that happened.
2) As I got closer to the finish I forgot whether I was on a knit or purl row and the one I picked wasn’t the right one so instead of a knit, purl rotation at the end I turned it into a knit all rows so it didn’t look weird.
3) If stitches slip from the needle it is a pain in the ass to get them back on!!!!
I actually like the way the top of the hat matches the bottom so I am not disappointed with my #2 uh oh. Lesson learned, maybe?
This is another pattern provided for free from Bernat’s website, www.bernat.com. It is kind of hard to see in the picture but there is a pattern in the hat, it has some raised stitches to get some texture to it versus just a plain hat.
