Hello everyone! It is hotter than sh*t outside and it is the end of September but for you fall lovers we are about to get a 40 degree swing later this week so there you go….ENJOY!
Today I wanted to get into my current 60 day challenge. First of all I have to say whenever I “sign up” for things like this I find that I stick to things a lot better no matter what it is. In May I did a Whole30 challenge which eliminated all that is good and left you with vegetables and protein. I had a sugar craving that was something fierce and I chose to do the Whole30 to help get it under control as the challenge eliminates all sugar (and alcohol). It was great and I even lost a few pounds too!
Anyhow my current challenge started on September 1st and it is for 60 days. I follow a badass woman on instagram and her name is Hannah Eden, go check her out here. She runs a gym in Ft. Lauderdale, FL but also provides online programming for a nominal fee of $29.99/month ($1 per day). When it comes to working out having guidance is key for me, I am not the type of person that can go to the gym and wing it, I have to have a plan….period!
So I am 3 weeks into this and I have missed 3 workouts out of the 18 provided. I haven’t seen much move from a scale perspective (-3lbs) but man the muscle definition is coming and I love it. I like the workouts because they are fast paced so it doesn’t get boring. I wish that I would have taken measurements day 1 but I failed to do that but I can tell in the way some of my clothes fit that the inches are coming off. And I am okay with that scale not moving much if the inches are still coming off.
The exercises are typically 45 minutes or less and are tabata type training….20 seconds on/10 seconds off or whatever designated time she has prescribed. Man it gets your heart pumping and requires minimal equipment (think dumbbells and kettle bells). I typically burn at least 400 calories at each session, that is according to my watch anyway. With 5 weeks to go it will be interesting to see how I feel by the end but so far so good in my book!
